About muura

「ムーラ」は、大阪に拠点を置く設計事務所で、2015年に開業しました。
主に、飲食店や物販店などの店舗を中心としたデザイン/設計を行っています。
他にも、複合型商業施設や宿泊施設などの建築デザイン、フードホールのプランニング、ライブハウスやアートギャラリーの設計など、さまざまな商空間を手掛けてきました。

空間の計画を進めるためには、数多くの要素を丁寧に見つめ、総合的に検討する必要があります。
それは実務的な設計検討にとどまらず、周辺環境とのつながり、社会的役割、人々の心理や行動、時間や気候による変化、実用性と美しさなど、さまざまな要素を含みます。また、プロジェクト自体が抱える固有の課題も必ず存在します。加えて、使用する素材と自然環境との関係性や、持続可能な循環のしくみについての考察も、空間を計画する上で大切な要素です。

私たちは設計を行う上で、こうした多様な要素をデザインの視点で観察し、遊び心をもって新たな価値を生み出す仕掛けを考案します。楽しさや親しみを内包したデザインには、人々の意識や行動を前向きに変え、あらゆることを継続へとつなげる力があると考えています。

そして、そのデザインをより高い精度で実現するために、私たちはクリエイティブチームを編成し、協働による空間の創造を行っています。各分野の専門家や職人がそれぞれの強みを持ち寄り、アイデアと知識と技術をひとつに結び合わせることで、デザインは初めて形となり、人々の感覚へ訴えかけるものになります。

このようにして私たちは、チームワークによって新たな価値を形にし、ひとつひとつを楽しさをもって丁寧に積み上げることで、これまでにない特別な空間の創造を目指しています。

“muura” is a design studio based in Osaka, founded in 2015.
We work mainly on the design and planning of restaurants, retail spaces, and other commercial environments. Our projects also include mixed-use developments, hospitality spaces, food halls, live venues, and art galleries — places where people gather, connect, and experience something new.

Designing a space means thinking about many different layers at once.
It’s not only about layouts or materials, but also about how a place relates to its surroundings, how people feel and behave within it, and how it can function beautifully in everyday life. Every project brings its own stories and challenges. We also care deeply about how materials interact with the environment and how design can support a more sustainable cycle of making.

In our process, we observe these elements through the lens of design, finding joy and playfulness in creating something new. We believe that when design holds a sense of fun and warmth, it can gently inspire people and encourage things to grow and continue.

To bring each idea to life, we collaborate as a creative team — designers, specialists, and craftspeople — sharing ideas, knowledge, and skills. When these come together, design takes shape and begins to touch the senses.

Through teamwork and curiosity, we build each space carefully and with joy, aiming to create places that feel special and meaningful to those who experience them.
